How does speed dating work?

In a typical event, there will be about 20 participants: 10 men and 10 women.

At the beginning, everyone is handed a sheet of paper with the names of all the participants of the opposite sex. The women will be seated and the men will find a spot across from one of them.  The five minute date begins at this point.  After the five minutes are up, the men rotate to the next person while the women remain in their spots.  Each participant has one minute to make any comments on the sheet they were given before the next date begins.  This process repeats itself until every person has had a one-on-one five minute date with all participants of the opposite sex.  At the end of the event, everyone hands in their sheet to us.

We go through your results and if (and only if) you put someone down as a match and he/she did the same for you, we will exchange your email information.  If you recieved no matches, we will still send an email to let you know.  All results will be sent out within a few days after the event.

Once you receive the email of a match, go contact that person and get to know them better!

Another common question is regarding dress code.  Wear what you would feel comfortable wearing on a first date, since you are going on 10 of them!  Business casual is always a good choice.
